We are recruiting established members of the film community - producers, directors, writers, and skilled crew ; to support the effort of the BFC in creating a more inclusive and diverse film community. Registered members will have exclusive access to our networking page, a profile and a community forum to post, share and respond to other members.
Members-For the immediate future we are not charging an annual membership fee. Therefore, any member of the greater Baltimore community can simply use this website - answer a few relevant questions and join the collective. The important thing is, what you contribute to the collective is essentially what you can get out of it.
We are not asking people/members to participant eight hours a day. We are asking people to define what their interests are, explain what you would like the collective to help you with and pay your effort forward by committing to help others. You may be doing a short film and need crew. You can help by crewing on someone else's short film. Thereby you are getting experience, bonding with other filmmakers and building your crew with familiar people.
For example: If someone has a short or series of shorts that the want screen in front of new audience. We would suggest the best, most cost - effective space for them to use. If someone needs a space for a restaurant scene and the BFC is aware of a breakfast -lunch only eatery that would be willing to allow the shoot we could connect to groups. In response the filmmakers would commit to have his post premier party at the restaurant.
